Transparency
Abbey King is committed to transparency in two critical areas: for those navigating the court system and for the citizens of Geauga County as a whole. Drawing on her experience as a social worker, Assistant Prosecutor, and Magistrate, Abbey understands that coming to court is usually a stressful experience for people. She is dedicated to explaining the legal process to litigants in clear, understandable terms, outlining the various factors they can potentially expect during their case, and ensuring they are aware of the services the court provides to assist them while their matters are pending. Beyond serving those directly involved in court proceedings, Abbey also believes in transparency for all Geauga County residents regarding the court’s activities, operations, and budget. She is committed to ensuring that citizens have access to information about how their Probate and Juvenile Court functions, how resources are allocated, and how the court serves the community. By fostering open communication both inside and outside the courtroom, Abbey aims to build public trust and confidence in Geauga County’s justice system.
