My name is Abbey King Mueller, I’m running to be your next Geauga County Probate/Juvenile Court Judge. Not only am I a wife and mother of two children, but I have also served as your Court Magistrate for the past eight years. I have dedicated my career to protecting Geauga County’s most vulnerable—our children and senior citizens. The Probate and Juvenile Court handles the most sensitive and urgent matters in our county, from child welfare and juvenile delinquency issues to guardianship and civil commitment issues. These cases are often complex and deeply personal; having a judge with experience, wisdom, and heart in this position is vital to the stability of our community.

My Platform

If elected Probate/Juvenile Court Judge, I will:

Protect Our Children: Ensure all children who come before the court are safeguarded and treated with respect, and work collaboratively with families to resolve difficult issues.

Provide Safety & Security: Uphold the rule of law and make impartial decisions that prioritize the best interests of our children and families while keeping Geauga residents safe.

Defend Our Constitutions: Protect the fundamental rights and principles enshrined in our state and federal constitutions. I will preserve our legal system and not let our courts be politicized.

My Experience

My unique professional background has prepared me to lead this Court with expertise and empathy from Day One:

Judicial Experience: Appointed as Magistrate in 2018, and have presided over thousands of hearings, managing a diverse docket of probate and juvenile matters.

Legal Expertise: Prior to becoming a magistrate, I served for 6 years as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Geauga County, primarily representing Job and Family Services.

Social Work Roots: I began my career as a child protective services social worker, gaining first-hand experience with the challenges facing families in the justice system.
