Abbey King is a Republican candidate for Geauga County Probate/Juvenile Court Judge who brings over 14 years of comprehensive legal experience to the race. A graduate of Akron Law School, Abbey has dedicated her career to serving the families and youth of Geauga County through diverse roles in the justice system. For more than seven years, she has served as a Magistrate with judicial experience presiding over matters in both the Probate and Juvenile Divisions of the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas, handling child welfare, child custody, juvenile delinquency, and child support matters in the Juvenile Division, as well as estate, guardianship, civil commitment, and adoption matters in the Probate Division. Her legal background also includes over five years as a Geauga County Assistant Prosecutor and two years as a child welfare social worker. Drawing on this multifaceted experience, Abbey believes that a collaborative approach to working with children and families is the most effective and beneficial method for addressing child custody, juvenile delinquency, and child welfare matters. She plays an instrumental role in managing the Court’s docket and daily operations, demonstrating her ability to handle a large caseload while ensuring the prompt resolution of issues and provision of timely decisions.
